📆 March Blogging Challenge #
Have you ever wanted to start a blog, or you already have a blog but struggle for ideas and consistency? If so, I think this may be a good fit.
It started when I saw Jeff Perry came up with the idea of a 30-day challenge of writing every day. I saw this idea and had to suggest the idea of daily topics.
Then came the idea phase, a few forms were created to get topic suggestions, and also a few website designs explored. This was all done on the Discord channel that Jeff created. Which by the way, anyone can join!
From there, Jeff has been busy creating the website for the challenge. The idea is that every day there will be a post with the daily prompt, which is where you'll also be able to post your finished blog post. That's so everyone else will be able to check it out, and at the end of the challenge, there should be a pretty impressive list.
There may still be a few tweaks to the way it runs, but a lot has already been decided:
- Each day of March has an assigned topic.
- It can be anything from a micro post to a full essay.
- Topics are flexible, which allow you to take it in your own direction.
- At the end of the month you'll have 31 blog posts, which is a pretty good kickstart if you're starting a blog.
The community is growing on Discord, so if you're interested, then please join. Even if you're new to blogging, we're all there to help. There's even a bit of information on the website to help get started.
There's a month to prepare, and there may even be a practice week during February. So keep tuned!
